Prepare to feel the love this New Year...

The new year is just around the corner, and with it the season of romance and proposals! It’s been stated that compared to the rest of the year, 40% more people get down on one knee between Christmas to Valentine's Day than any other time. So, with that in mind, we’ve taken a look at 5 fresh new proposal ideas for you in 2020 (and beyond!)
  • Propose at a famous location.

The obvious one here is to take a trip to Paris, but it doesn’t have to be the Eiffel Tower! Choosing a famous location that means something to both of you - perhaps somewhere you’ve both visited before and enjoyed - is a romantic way to both experience some breathtaking views, and something a little more personal.
  • Recruit your pet for help!

No-one could possibly resist the cuteness! Perhaps you decide to go for a romantic stroll in the woods with your significant other (and the dog, of course!), or perhaps tie a little bow to your furry friend’s collar with the ring box attached! Just a thought…
  • Travel somewhere new and unexpected.

Sometimes, the best proposals involve complete surprise. Why not make a last minute plan to take a trip somewhere you’ve both never been? Not only is it a fantastic way to create some brand new memories together, but it’ll be gloriously romantic!
  • Propose at a family dinner.

This all depends on how intimate and personal you want your proposal to be. Some couples prefer to find a spot that’s all to themselves, whereas sometimes it can be nice to be surrounded by loved ones in a comfortable environment. Arrange it with your family so they know what to expect, and surprise your loved one with a toast. It’ll be a fantastic memory for you all to cherish.
  • Channel your love of sport!

Are you the kind of couple that gyms together? Exercising or playing sport together is a great way to get those endorphins running, and to make you feel closer as a result. If you’re a sporty couple, why not incorporate your love of sports into your proposal? For the more extreme amongst you, why not go rock climbing together, find a beautiful vista and get down on one knee at the summit! Perfect.
